Man accused of incest; teen says he sired her baby

KANSAS CITY — A Kansas City man is jailed on charges that he raped his daughter over a number of years and allegedly fathered her child.

Platte County prosecutors say the 37-year-old man is charged with one count each of first-degree statutory rape, incest and sodomy. Police say the victim told them she gave birth to a child who was being raised by a relative.

Police responded to a home Thursday night, where a 16-year-old said she had been repeatedly raped by her father for years and that she had resisted an attack that evening.

Another Missouri father was recently accused of incest that produced four children with his teenage daughter. He is charged with murder after the remains of two infants were found in Cass County.

AP is withholding the names of the suspects to protect the identity of the daughters.
