The Columbia College women's basketball team had its six-game winning streak snapped in a loss to McKendree 61-47 in Lebanon, Ill., on Tuesday night.
The Cougars, who moved up in the NAIA rankings from 16 to 14 this week, couldn’t hold on to its 24-2 record.
The Cougars are 11-2 in the American Midwest Conference.
“We could not make our shots,” coach Mike Davis said.
The Cougars shot 23 percent in the first half and 32 percent for the game.
The Cougars committed 24 turnovers that led to several Bearcat baskets.
“We put ourselves in a tough spot,” Davis said.
