COLUMBIA — Another Columbia man has been arrested in connection with a recent incident involving four Hickman High School students, said Lt. Scott Young of the Columbia Police Department.
On Feb. 11, police received a report from four Hickman High School students stating they had been chased by three different suspects – one of whom displayed a folding knife – while running for a sports practice.
The police investigation identified Christopher Barnhart, 20, on Tuesday as as the man who displayed the knife, Young said. Police also arrested Travis Emmer, 20, on Tuesday in connection with the incident. A tip from the community led police to Emmer. He was charged with third-degree assault.
Barnhart was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $4,500.
There are no outstanding suspects in the case, Young said.
