Police arrest man after houseguest robbery

COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was arrested Saturday on felony charges of stealing and resisting arrest.

Jerome F. Dunn, 21, was arrested by a Boone County Sheriff's deputy after a search of his home revealed stolen property, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

Earlier in the day, the department had investigated a larceny from a home in the High Hill Circle Trailer Court. The victim had allowed Dunn to sleep on her couch overnight and woke Saturday morning to find him gone, along with money and some property, the release said.

Dunn is being held at the Boone County Jail, with a bond set at $9,000, according to the release.
