COLUMBIA—At 3:22 a.m. Saturday, Columbia police responded to a strong-armed robbery at a Phillips 66 station on Range Line Street, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
A 22 year-old man was approached by three black males while walking in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. One of the suspects struck the man in the face, which knocked him to the ground. The suspect hit the victim twice more and then demanded money, the release said. The three men left the scene and headed north, after the victim gave the first suspect an unknown amount of cash. The victim suffered facial injuries but refused medical attention.
