COLUMBIA — Twenty marijuana plants were found early Monday afternoon in a southwest Columbia home, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department. Police are still searching for the suspect.
At 1:48 p.m. Monday, the police department assisted the Mid-Missouri Unified Strike Team and Narcotics Drug Group (MUSTANG) drug task force to execute a drug-related search warrant at 3104 Crawford St., the release said. The warrant resulted from an investigation into an indoor marijuana-growing operation at the residence.
At the residence, officers found 20 marijuana plants at various stages of growth, two “turn-key” grow boxes used to grow indoor marijuana, numerous chemicals and fertilizers associated with growing indoor marijuana and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.
The suspect, who was not in the residence when the warrant was served, is Jason L. Boley, 30. He is being sought by police on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
