Recently Senator McCaskill voted for the economic stimulus bill. Much has been said about the earmarks and pork placed into the bill, as well as the huge cost to the taxpayers. I've started writing Senator McCaskill asking her to represent the wishes of the people of Missouri and to vote against future spending. Much to her credit, she has introduced legislation aimed at earmarks and oversight. However, this is probably too little too late.
Please join me in contacting Senator McCaskill. Tell her your opinion, no matter which side you're on. The more our representatives hear from us the more likely they are to vote for our wishes in Washington.
Senator McCaskill can be contacted at mccaskill.senate.gov/contact/.
Remember, it's government by the people. So let's govern.

Agreed. We need less government spending, not more. We need fewer government programs, not more.
Mike FrommelIf if the people would take care of their own as they should instead of being greedy and unsympathetic self centered and self motivated individuals you would not need big government and the ideas of small government might actually work.
The problem is that our nation as a whole is geared toward me first all of the time with those at the top not giving a dam about those at the bottom over all because those at the top are sucking the life out of those at the bottom.
There needs to be a equal balance and at this time with the mentality of the elitists in this country that will never happen.
