COLUMBIA — MU Police Department are seeking two suspects involved in an early Valentine's Day assault.
According to a news release, two men got in a verbal argument with two other individuals on the porch of the FarmHouse fraternity on Kentucky Boulevard.
As the two men walked through a parking lot behind Crowder Hall on Maryland Avenue post-argument, the other two allegedly assaulted the victims, the release stated. Capt. Brian Weimer said he does not have information to indicate whether alcohol was involved.
The victims checked themselves into a hospital but Weimer said he does not know the extent of their injuries. The two contacted police the day of the assault.
Weimer said the victims believe the suspect to be associated with FarmHouse fraternity but the organization has not given police any information regarding the assault.
CrimeStoppers is offering $1,000 to anyone with information that might lead to an arrest. Weimer said the department hopes a cash reward will motivate individuals to come forward with anything they might know about the incident.
