COLUMBIA – MU's Division of Information Technology is holding two sessions to show how campus departments can use technology to their advantage and save money.
The Technology for Tight Budgets Expo will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 4 and March 5 in the Bond Life Sciences Center.
There will be demonstrations of MeetingPlace audio/Web conferencing, SharePoint online collaboration tools, video conferencing and voice-over IP.
IT Director Terry Robb said the expo is useful in a work environment where budget scrutiny and cost cutting are becoming increasingly important.
"It helps reduce travel costs to find electronic means for collaboration and increase faculty and staff productivity," Robb said.
