COLUMBIA — Another suspect of the alleged Cut Throat gang pleaded not guilty to drug charges Wednesday in the central division of the U.S. Court for the Western District of Missouri in Jefferson City.
Ryan Montez Kee, 22, is charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Currently, Kee is serving a seven-year sentence for possession of controlled substances, according to Missouri Case.net. He will remain in prison until his parole appearance on May 7. At that time, Magistrate William A. Knox will set up a detention hearing date.
Columbia lawyer Dan Viets is representing Kee.
The prosecution's evidence includes electronic surveillance, wiretap conversations and witnesses, Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony P. Gonzalez said.
Kee is the 15th of 16 others charged with similar felonies to enter a plea of not guilty for the alleged drug-trafficking conspiracy.
The trial is set for July 20 in front of Federal Judge Nanette K. Laughrey.
