Recycle Mountain educates MU

VIDEO: On Wednesday, MU students, faculty members and campus visitors who walked through Lowry Mall witnessed a man-made mountain constructed from 8700 pounds of cans, bottles and newspapers. Sustain Mizzou, a non-profit student organization at Mizzou, organized Recycle Mountain, which consists of 8,700 pounds of recycled materials that were brought to Lowry Mall at MU by Columbia Recycling.

  • Sustain Mizzou, a non-profit student organization at Mizzou, organized Recycle Mountain, which consists of 8,700 pounds of recycled materials that were brought to Lowry Mall at MU by Columbia Recycling. The six bales were put into place by a fork-lift. Each bale weighs approximately 1500 pounds, and each bale represents what could be recycled on campus every day.
