SPRINGFIELD — The Missouri Army National Guard is retiring its last flying UH-1 "Huey" helicopter.
A ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the guard's Aviation Classification and Repair Activity Depot at Springfield-Branson National Airport.
The helicopter was built in 1974 and spent its entire service life with the Missouri National Guard on a variety of missions.
The UH-1 was first produced in the mid-1950s.
