ORLANDO, Fla. — The Rock Bridge High School dance team won a third place trophy on Sunday at the national championships in Orlando, Fla.
The Bruins took the award in the large varsity category for jazz after advancing to the finals on Saturday. The team was also honored for the most innovative choreography.
The team was scheduled to compete Sunday afternoon for the national championship in the large varsity category for team performance. The team of 18 girls is coached by Lyria Bartlett and Stacey Akers.
The championship, sponsored by the National Dance Alliance, was being held in the Hard Rock Cafe complex at Universal Studios Florida.
