After a devastating loss to McKendree in the semifinals of the American Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday night, Columbia College was forced to wait until Wednesday to see if it would receive a bid to the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship.
The rankings ruled in the Cougars' favor. Columbia College placed 19th in the NAIA rankings, while William Woods, the winner of the American Midwest Conference, placed 24th, earning the Cougars an at-large bid.
The bracket will be released at 12 p.m. Thursday. The tournament is set to begin March 18 at the Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn.
