MIAMI, Okla. — A man who has been questioned about an Oklahoma woman who died at a Missouri hospital is accused of selling and exchanging prescription drugs for sex.
A felony count of delivery of a controlled dangerous substance was filed yesterday against 67-year-old Bobby Joe Stogsdill, of Fairland, Okla. Stogsdill was arrested Thursday and jailed with bail set at $10,000.
According to a court affidavit, Stogsdill is accused of selling a muscle relaxer.
A sting was set up Thursday in Miami, Okla., where the affidavit alleges that Stogsdill sold 10 pills to a confidential informant for $30.
Stogsdill also is listed as a person of interest in the case of 29-year-old Amber G. Barr, who died Sunday at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., reportedly of serious dehydration.
Stogsdill told the Joplin Globe that he cooked for Barr and she had access to food when she moved in to his home three weeks ago.
But Barr told nurses at the hospital that she was held hostage without food or water.
