Columbia man arrested on suspicion of meth possession

COLUMBIA – A Columbia man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession after Boone County deputies reportedly found a small amount of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

Travis Jay Hall, 29, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

Hall was also arrested on an active arrest warrant during the stop which took place about 9 p.m. Friday at Snead Drive and St. Charles Road. During a search, deputies reported finding Hall to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

As of noon, Hall was being held in the Boone County Jail on a total bond of $5,000 for the drug charges.
