PINEVILLE — The trial started Wednesday for a southwest Missouri sheriff's deputy accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.

McDonald County Deputy Jacob Boles, 28, was indicted in February 2008 on two counts of second-degree statutory sodomy. In his trial, he is accused of having deviate sexual intercourse with the girl on two occasions in 2007 and last year.

Boles was suspended from his duties as a deputy after his arrest.
