Not guilty plea for wife in Missouri incest case

HARRISONVILLE — An automatic not guilty plea is entered for a 47-year-old woman whose husband fathered four children with their teenage daughter.

The woman was arraigned Monday in Cass County District Court on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of hindering prosecution.

Authorities say the woman did little to stop her daughter's sexual abuse.

Her 47-year-old husband has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, child endangerment and other charges.

The Associated Press is withholding the couple's name to protect the identity of their daughter, an alleged sexual assault victim.

Prosecutors believe the man impregnated his daughter four times and had been having sex with her since she was 13. The daughter is now 19 and only one of the four children she birthed is still alive. The father is charged in one of their deaths.
