Three Missouri softball players hit home runs accounting for five Tigers' runs in a 9-1 victory Tuesday against host Houston.
Tigers pitcher Stacy Delaney improved to 5-2 on the year. The win gives the Tigers 7-1 road record and pushes them to 27-4 for the season.
Senior Lindsey Ubrun broke a scoreless tie in the top of the second inning with a leadoff, first-pitch home run over the fence in center field. The solo shot was Ubrun’s fourth of the season and marks the second straight game in which the Tigers' third baseman has hit a home run.
The Tigers scored six runs on six hits in the sixth inning, including Micaela Minner’s two-run home run over the centerfield fence. Minner, who leads the team with six home runs, has 38 in her career as a Tiger.
