The Missouri softball team held on for a 4-2 victory Wednesday in the second game of a midweek series against Houston. The Tigers improved to 28-4 and 4-0 all time against the host Cougars.
The Tigers scored four runs in the fourth inning, three of them coming on catcher Megan Christopher's two-out home run.
Missouri freshman pitcher Kristin Nottelmann threw a six-inning no hitter before allowing two doubles and two earned runs in the bottom of the seventh. Junior Jana Hainey came on in relief, allowing a single before striking out Casey Willow for the final out. Nottelmann improves to 7-0 on the season.
