When I opened the paper a few weeks ago and read that Rod Robison had filed to run in the Sixth Ward City Council race, I was elated. Although I live in the county, my husband and I have owned businesses in the city for more than 30 years. I was most excited about Rod running because he just gets it when it comes to business. Small business is the backbone of our economy.
Rod’s opponent has never owned or managed a small business. According to her biographies, she’s primarily been paid from taxpayer dollars. Ideas like sustainability, holistic approaches and green jobs all sound okay in theory. However, for those of us who don’t rely on anyone else for our income, we make business decisions based on basic economics in order to get the bills paid and keep people employed. Please vote Rod Robison, April 7.
