Barbara Hoppe is an amazing woman and the Sixth Ward is lucky to have her representing their interests on the Columbia City Council. I urge voters to re-elect Barbara on April 7.
I have known Barbara since I was 13 years old. Maybe not then, but probably a few years later, I became impressed with Barbara’s dedication to Columbia and incredible civic participation. Barbara is one of those people that makes the rest of us look like slackers; she manages to work full-time, stays up late preparing for City Council meetings, participates on local boards, supports her family and friends and has a healthy social life. Quite truly, she is a one-of-kind person. It is rare to meet someone who has the unique combination of intellect, stamina and heart that Barbara does. It would be such a waste to not re-elect Barbara and take advantage of her many qualities and commitment.
