LETTER: Hoppe responsive to citizens' ideas, shouldn't lose seat

David Tyson Smith, Columbia
I do not think I have ever met or interacted with a more responsive member of Columbia’s City Council than Barbara Hoppe. Barbara has an ear to the people of our city and goes above and beyond to make sure that all of Columbia’s citizens have a voice.
In a climate where most politicians are afraid to stick their necks out and do the right thing, Barbara does it — every time. I have no doubt that powerful interests in our community have conspired against her to make sure that she loses her seat. I beg our citizenry not to let that happen.

We are at a very critical and pivotal time in our community and Barbara’s seat tips the balance. This race is extremely important. The real hardworking people of this community cannot afford to lose Barbara Hoppe as a representative.
Vote Barbara Hoppe on April 7.
