LETTER: A personal recommendation for Rod Robison

I wish to tell the readership in the Sixth Ward about my friend Rod Robison.
I first met Rod when his daughter Jill and my daughter Molly became freshmen roommates at MU in the fall of 1997. Rod and his family became a "second family" to Molly. They continued their interest in her long after that first encounter.

When I became active in the University of Missouri Track and Field Officials Association in 2000, Molly suggested that Rod might also be interested in volunteering his time to this organization. I asked him and he joined enthusiastically. Later, when I became the association's president, Rod was elected to its board of directors and served faithfully in several specifically-assigned projects.
I recommend this fine gentleman to you for consideration as your councilperson.
