COLUMBIA — Mediacom customers will soon have to flip a little further to find local government, educational and public access television programs.
Three channels will transfer to the 80s effective April 20 or 21, according to a news release from the City of Columbia.
The channels will then be found on channel 85 for public access, channel 81 for educational programming and channel 80 for government-related programs.
“We are migrating channels from analog to digital,” Randy Hollis, Mediacom senior manager of government relations, said of the reason for the change.
These channels provide video of city programs, services and events, in addition to listing current job openings in the community.
