GetAbout to host hearing on bike boulevard plans

Wednesday, April 8, 2009 | 12:01 a.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — The public can check out and comment on plans for a bike boulevard on Windsor and Ash streets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Benton Elementary School, 1410 Hinkson Ave.

GetAbout Columbia will host the public meeting to discuss its plans for a bike boulevard on Windsor and Ash Streets and a sidewalk on Walnut Street from Old  63 to William Street.

This will be the first time the community at large will be able to voice opinions on the proposed plans and have questions answered by GetAbout Columbia representatives.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can submit your comments directly on GetAbout Columbia’s Web page.

In July, GetAbout Columbia will submit a report to the Columbia City Council that details the public’s impressions and will be the first step in getting construction approved.

Oh no more distracting graffiti all over our oh so lovely and broken down streets.

The irony over what GetAbout is not about.
