Two Columbia men arrested on drug-related charges

COLUMBIA — Two Columbia men were arrested in separate drug related incidences on Wednesday and Thursday. Columbia police obtained search warrants for the two residences and both men were arrested at their homes.

According to a press release from the Columbia Police Department, David P. Monroe of 915 Sondra Ave. is charged with distribution and possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found three and a half pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor amount of hash and a Schedule II prescription pill at Monroe’s residence Wednesday.

The second search warrant took place Thursday at 707 Ridgeway Ave., the residence of Roger D. Webb. Webb is charged with possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia according to the press release.

There were multiple men in each residence when the arrests of Monroe and Webb were made, but they were not arrested at the scene, the press release said.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests may occur, according to a police department press release.
