MU football team holds final spring scrimmage

The Missouri football team held its final spring scrimmage Saturday at Faurot Field. For the second straight week, the offense won, beating the defense 45-37 as determined by the coaches' scoring system.

Expected starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns. Jerrell Jackson led receivers with five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. Wes Kemp and Jonnie Fields also caught touchdowns.

No Tiger totaled more than 32 yards rushing, with Derrick Washington leading the way on seven attempts.

The defense intercepted five passes, three from freshman quarterback Ashton Glaser.

The Tigers have one more week of practice before their annual spring game at 1 p.m. next Saturday at Faurot Field.
