COLUMBIA — A second suspect accused in connection to the death of 18-year-old Ronald Cornell Brown will be tried as an adult, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

Nikolaus Wadlow, 16, of 458 Maple Grove Way, was certified as an adult in juvenile court Monday. Wadlow has been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with Brown's death, which occurred in the parking lot of Ballenger Liquor and C-Store on Feb. 16.

If convicted, Wadlow faces a possible sentence of life in prison. He is currently being held at the Boone County Jail awaiting trial. His bond is set at $1 million, cash only.

Wadlow is one of six suspects who have been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with Brown's death, and he is the second minor to be certified as an adult. Bradley Edward Enyart, 16, was certified on March 31.

The investigation into Brown's death is ongoing. Anyone with information that might help in the investigation is asked to call the major crime unit of the Columbia Police Department at 874-7423.
