COLUMBIA — An MU athletic department employee was arrested Tuesday by Fulton police on suspicion of sexually assaulting and giving alcohol to three female MU students at his home, according to a Fulton Police Department news release.
On April 9, the students went to a dinner party held at the home of Francis "Frank" Hoelzeman, a part-time events assistant with the athletic department, and his wife, Deidre, according to the release.
The students called the police and told officers that Frank Hoelzeman gave them alcohol and once they were intoxicated, fondled and groped them throughout the course of the evening.
While investigating, a 17-year-old young woman, also a student, told police that she had been touched inappropriately by Hoelzeman after drinking several alcoholic beverages at the home, the release states. She also told police that her cell phone and coat were taken from her to keep her from leaving the home.
Hoelzeman, 40, of 1 Heather St. in Fulton, was arrested on suspicion of four counts of sexual misconduct, four counts of supplying alcohol to a minor and one count of false imprisonment. Deidre Hoelzeman was arrested on suspicion of four counts of supplying alcohol to a minor.
They have both been released from Callaway County Jail after posting bond.

There's a Deidre Hoelzeman who's the secretary to city manager Bill Watkins -- spelled the same, about the same age too, I think. It's not a common name. Anybody know if it's the same person?
