JEFFERSON CITY — Vice President Joe Biden visited central Missouri on Thursday to discuss renewable energy.

Vice President Joe Biden is greeted by the crowd at the ABB Transformer Factory in Jefferson City on Thursday afternoon. Biden said the workers of the ABB factory are building the new economy. The transformers built at the ABB plant are being used in Missouri's Lost Creek Ridge wind farm, which is expected to generate enough electricity to power 50,000 houses.
