COLUMBIA— The Hickman girls soccer team couldn't come away with a win Saturday morning against Francis Howell Central in St. Charles. The Kewpies lost 4-0, bringing their record to 4-4.
"We didn't have the energy we needed to match theirs," coach Tony Gragnani said.
Gragnani said that the Kewpies had a few chances to score, but unfourtunately they just couldn't complete them.
Howell Central on the other hand scored four goals. The first two were somewhat lucky, as the first shot hit off a Howell Central player before hitting the net while the second shot bounced off a Kewpie player before rolling past the goal line. Gragnani said the other two, however, were both solid shots.
"We still have things we need to work on," said Gragnani, "but we will get there. We just need to come out against Jefferson City on Tuesday and do our best."
The Kewpies will play next at Jefferson City at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
