Ryan Newman (39) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. drive by Carl Edwards on the final lap. "Talladega is short for 'We're going to crash, we just don't know when,'" said Newman, the third-place finisher. Of the crash, Edwards said, "I'm glad the car didn't go up in the grandstands. I saw some fencing at one point and that made me a little bit nervous. I don't know if I could live with myself if I ended up in the grandstands."

It is a miracle of engineering and the love of God that was able for Carl Edwards to walk away from this horrible wreck.
Thank you to all of Nascar for helping to build and design safe race cars.
