The Missouri men's golf team moved up four spots in the team standings after the third round of the Big 12 Conference championships Tuesday in Hutchinson, Kan.
Peter Malnati shot a 1-under par 69 for Missouri, helping the Tigers combine for a 10-over 290 to move them from 12th into eighth, eight strokes behind Texas Tech. Malnati was one of just three players to break par on Tuesday, and Missouri’s total tied for the third lowest of the afternoon.
Oklahoma State leads with a two-day total of 868, Colorado is second at 871. Missouri is at 907, two strokes ahead of Iowa State. Baylor’s Bill Allcorn leads the individual standings at 209. Missouri’s Ryne Fisher and Will Harrold are in a group of three tied for 27th at 227.
The fourth and final round is set for Wednesday morning.
