The Missouri baseball team won its fourth-straight game in a 7-4 victory over Eastern Illinois on Tuesday in the Tigers’ annual Wood Bat Classic at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O’Fallon.
Tigers senior Steve Gray matched a career-high with four hits, finishing 4-for-4 with two RBI. Junior Greg Folgia added two hits to extend his hitting streak to 10 games, and junior Aaron Senne had a pair of hits, including a two-run home run.
The Tigers (25-21) used a staff pitching approach, sending nine pitchers to the mound to hold Eastern Illinois (32-10) scoreless through the first seven innings.
Freshman Ryan Clubb started for Mizzou and pitched two scoreless innings, allowing two hits. He was credited with the victory to improve to 3-2 on the season. Sophomore Brad Buehler recorded the final four outs to pick up his fourth save of the year.
The Tigers are set to play Missouri State at 6:30 p.m. today in Springfield, Mo.
