ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis man accused of shooting and critically wounding a mail carrier last year has been committed to a psychiatric facility.
The man, 24-year-old Adrian Renard Mabry, is still charged with assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the attack in April 2008. The mail carrier, 45-year-old Terry Marcrum, suffered bullet wounds to the back of his head and shoulders.
Mabry has been undergoing mental evaluations, and has now been ordered institutionalized until it is determined that he can assist in his own defense at trial.
