Fulton woman arrested on suspicion of drug possession, two warrants

COLUMBIA — A Fulton woman was arrested Friday evening on suspicion of drug and drug paraphernalia possession after deputies arrested her on two active warrants, according to a Boone County Sheriff's Department news release.

Diane Chaney, 46, was arrested in the 700 block of Demaret Drive at 9:16 p.m. on an out-of-county warrant for failure to appear and a Boone County warrant for passing bad checks.

After the arrest was made, deputies reported that they found Chaney in possession of a felony amount of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, the release states.

Chaney was then arrested on suspicion of possession of a felony amount of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release states. As of 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Chaney was still being held at the Boone County Jail with two $4,500 bonds for possession charges, a $200 bond for the Cole County warrant and a $500 bond for the Boone County warrant for passing bad checks, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
