KANSAS CITY — Health officials in Missouri are confirming a second case of swine flu.
The Kansas City Health Department said Saturday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta had confirmed that a 19-year-old Kansas City man hospitalized in Nebraska has the H1N1 virus.
Missouri now has two confirmed cases of swine flu and two more probable cases. The other confirmed case is a 30-year-old woman from Platte County, in the Kansas City area, who recently returned from Mexico.
The 19-year-old man in the latest confirmed case was hospitalized in the Omaha area after traveling to Nebraska for treatment for another health condition.
