COLUMBIA — The Missouri softball team ended its four-game losing streak with a 5-0 win against Nebraska on Sunday at University Field.
Lindsey Ubrun, playing her final regular-season game as a Tiger, hit a grand slam in the the third inning after Nebraska pitcher Molly Hill walked in a run.
Missouri freshman Chelsea Thomas (11-4) allowed three hits in seven shutout innings. Thomas struck out eight and walked two batters.
Missouri improved to 42-9 and 12-6 in the Big 12 with the victory. The Tigers will be the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 tournament which begins Friday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
Missouri, which will receive a first-round bye, will play its the winner of a matchup between the No. 10 and No. 7 seeds at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
