COLUMBIA — Police are seeking four men in their late or early 20s after two people reported that their home was robbed around 1 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Bent Oak Drive, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
The residents of the home, ages 55 and 62, told police that four men with masks and shotguns entered through an open door. They confronted the residents, one of whom uses a wheelchair, according to the release. The four men asked for money and hit the disabled victim in the head multiple times with the butt of a shotgun, according to the release.
The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money, electronics, jewelry and a car. The car was found abandoned in a northeast Columbia neighborhood.
The resident in the wheelchair sustained minor injuries from being struck with the shotgun and declined medical treatment.
