PrintCOLUMBIA – A Sub Shop employee was robbed early Saturday morning while delivering food in the area of the 1400 block of Bodie Drive, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Deparment.
While in route to the delivery the employee was notified that the original address was changed to another address within the same block.
The victim arrived at the location at 12:30 a.m., making contact with four female suspects in front of the address. A fifth subject, identified as the primary suspect, approached and demanded money. When the victim refused, she was struck in the face by the primary suspect.
She then fell to the ground where she was kicked several times in the head by at least two of the male suspects.
A total of eight suspects fled on foot with the food. The victim had head and facial injuries but refused medical treatment.
The release described the suspects as four males and four females in their late teens. The primary suspect is described as a male wearing dark blue jean shorts, white K-Swiss shoes, and a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up around his face.
Both addresses involved in the delivery were vacant, according to the release.

I would be horrified and outraged to find out that this gang of 8 violent sub-stealing older teenagers were white.
(Especially if white gang members are now copying such terrible fashion sense as wearing hoodies to commit crimes.)

Just an observation regarding what the Missourian tends to omit and other newspapers tend to include.

She handed over the delivery, and a black male with blue jean shorts and a gray hooded sweatshirt around his face demanded cash. The worker told the robber she had no money, and he struck her in the face. She fell and was kicked several times in the head by at least two other black males. All eight suspects fled on foot with the food.
