In Friday's game against University High out of Bloomington, Ill., the Bruins lost the opener 5-3.
"We came out a little flat in the first game to have five goals put on us," Rock Bridge coach Marc Vandover said.
But Rock Bridge came out strong on Saturday, winning its first game 6-2 against Troy-Buchanan — a team Rock Bridge could face later on this season in district competition.
"I was proud the team turned it around the second day," Vandover said.
The Bruins were led by Lindsey Cunningham, who had two goals and two assists in the game. Kelsey Reimler also had one goal and two assists.
In their second game on Saturday, the Bruins shut out Galesburg (Ill.) High School 7-0. Mary Bowman scored three goals in the game and Reimler also had two goals and two assists.
"I've never been a part of a team who gives up five goals in one game," Vandover said. "Then again, I've also never been a part of a team who scored 16 goals over a weekend, either."
Rock Bridge's next game will be Monday at Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis, before beginning district play on Saturday at Troy-Buchanan in Troy.
