The Rock Bridge tennis team beat Kirkwood and Clayton on Saturday at the North Central Missouri Invitational at Bethel Park to run its record this season to 20-0.
The streak almost ended though against Kirkwood, which the Bruins beat 6-5. After beating Kirkwood in four of the five doubles matches Rock Bridge held on in singles play winning just two of the six matches.
Ford Zitsch beat Britton Schlotz 6-3, 2-6, (10-7) at No. 1 singles, and Jimmy Hunter beat Josh Waite 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles to preserve the Bruins' run.
Rock Bridge beat Clayton 9-2.
