Boone County sheriffs looking for two suspects after home invasion

COLUMBIA – A 42-year-old resident  of a home on the 5500 block of Pinehurst Lane East woke up to find that two men had invaded his home Saturday night, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

When the resident awoke to find the two men in his bedroom, one of the suspects struck him in the head with a household object, giving the resident a laceration to his head. Deputies were dispatched to the home around 11:57 p.m, according to the release.

Both suspects were described in the release as two males in their twenties. One of the suspects is believed to be between 6 foot and 6 feet 3 inches tall with a slender build.

The suspects left the residence with several items, including a television and video game system.
