MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Technical problems at Google prevented an unknown number of people from using its Internet
search engine, e-mail and other services.
In a Thursday post on
its Web site, the Mountain View-based company reported that a "small
subset of users" were unable to get into their e-mail accounts. At 11:39 a.m., Google announced the problem was resolved.
Without elaborating, Google said the e-mail trouble might have affected other services as well.
Multiple messages posted on Twitter, a popular information-sharing forum, indicated that people all over the world were having trouble with the Google search engine and e-mail.
