ST. LOUIS — Three Missouri lawmakers and a health care advocate have postponed a 130-mile trek from Jefferson City to St. Louis. The effort had been planned to draw attention to a perceived need for better health care coverage.
State Sen. Jeff Smith and Reps. Don Calloway and Chris Carter said Friday they have to postpone the trip because of scheduling conflicts. They did not set a new date.
The Democrats had planned to walk and bike between the cities with Danny O'Neil, governmental relations manager for the Missouri Primary Care Association.
