ANNAPOLIS — A construction worker has died at the Taum Sauk reservoir construction site in southeast Missouri.
Ozark
Constructors LLC said a 48-year-old female laborer was working on a
concrete placement when the accident happened Tuesday morning. She was
flown to Barnes-Hospital in St. Louis, where she died. Her name has not
been released.
A Taum Sauk reservoir breach on Dec. 14, 2005, sent a huge deluge of water into Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park.
Ozark
Constructors had been working on the reservoir rebuild project and said
it has put in more than 2 million hours of work there over 21 months.
It declined to release additional information, pending an investigation
by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
