PrintCOLUMBIA — A 21-year-old Columbia man was shot between 1:15 and 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the parking lot outside Pepper’s Night Club at 4515 N. Highway 763, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
Witnesses said the victim was shot while sitting inside his vehicle, according to the release. The Sheriff’s Department learned of the incident after the victim was taken in a private vehicle to a local hospital to receive treatment for at least one gunshot wound.
Investigators received information about a suspect from witnesses but have not released it to the public. The Sheriff’s Department has not released further information on the victim.
