On Sunday night an 81-year-old Columbia woman found a male suspect, whom she had hired to do lawn work, in her back bedroom, according to the release. When the victim approached the suspect, he demanded money. The victim refused, leading the suspect to push her into a wall, after which she fled the house.

The victim was not injured, Maj. Tom Reddin said.

The victim reported the incident to police the next morning and they began their investigation, according to the release.

On Tuesday police located a male subject matching the description given by the victim, according to the release. The victim later identified the subject in a photo line-up.

When police went to arrest Green in the Clearview Subdivision, he attempted to flee the scene by trying to gain access into an adjoining duplex, the release said. After arrest, police found Green in possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently being held in the Boone County Jail on $10,000 bail.
