COLUMBIA — When the last patrons of Hobby Lobby checked out their items Wednesday evening, they were quietly escorted past the crime scene tape blocking both entrances while the Columbia police searched the store.
At approximately 6:43 p.m. , Columbia Police Lt. Carl Young said an unidentified suspect held up the store's assistant manager at gunpoint and left with an unknown amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
Officers had to shut down the store early while they searched the inside for more than an hour. The suspect is still at large.

How is it you all miss it entirely while other media outlets in town got the story complete with suspect description ... for the Missourian readership the suspect is a clean-shaven white man with short hair wearing a short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a ball cap - late 50s 5'7" and about 160 pounds.
If you will notice, this brief was posted at 12:01AM the morning of June 11. This was long before the police-issued brief (containing the description of the suspect) was released to the press.
I was one of two reporters at the scene (the other worked for the local ABC station), and the information in this brief was collected entirely from my observations and interviews with police officers at the scene.
